Charles de Giorgio Ltd. was founded in 1920, and acquired by Dr. Wilfred Stellini in 1968, himself a medical practitioner. In 1990 his son David Stellini was appointed managing director.
Over recent years the company has established itself as a leading distributor of healthcare products in Malta, including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and equipment, as well as household products, and is associated with multinational companies such as Sanofi Aventis, Siemens Medical Solutions, Eli Lilly, Reckitt Benckiser and Revlon.
The company has grown rapidly over the last 10 years, with sales increasing six fold over this period. This growth is reflected by what has developed internationally, with a number of mergers and acquisitions in the pharmaceutical industry. This has resulted in a number of new distribution agreements with Charles de Giorgio Ltd. as the preferred partner in Malta.
